Mark William Nevins

Mark William Nevins of Chicopee, MA., age 67, passed away on June 6, 2025. A son of the late William Reed and Josephine Ann (Capaccio) Nevins, Mark was born April 27, 1958, in Springfield. He graduated from Minnechaug High School in Wilbraham in 1976. In 1982, Mark met the love of his life, his adoring partner, Nancy Stevens. They remained together 42 years until his passing.
Mark was an enthusiast of all sports. He loved watching his favorite teams on TV: UConn Men's Basketball, Green Bay Packers, and of course the Boston Red Sox. He played softball for 48 years, most recently on the Western Mass Relics Senior Softball Team. He started his collection of baseball cards at age 3. Between games, Mark really enjoyed doing yardwork. While Nancy tended her flowers, he liked to mow the lawn and trim the bushes. Over the years, Mark worked in shipping and receiving for many organizations in the area, and he retired from Agilent in 2024.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, and he is survived by his lifelong partner Nancy Stevens of Chicopee, his brother Paul and his wife Tracy Nevins of East Longmeadow, his nieces and nephews Paul Jr Nevins and his family, Meghan Nevins and her family, Michael Nevins, an Ariana Nevins, his aunt and uncle Louise and Dave Goodrich, and Nancy’s siblings Gloria Chouinard, Donna Garon, and Bobby Dufault.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Tylunas Funeral Home, located at 159 Broadway Street, Chicopee, MA, with a Funeral Home Service beginning at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Mark’s memory to either The American Cancer Society or The American Diabetes Association.
