Mary Ann A. (Desorcy) Craven, age 81, died peacefully at her son’s home in Holyoke on May 25, 2024. She was born in Holyoke on March 28, 1943, to the late Eva (Godere) and Albert Desorcy. Mary Ann graduated from Holyoke High School in 1961, and married James P. Craven of Holyoke that same year in December. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide for the Chicopee VNA. She loved her work and was known for her exceptional care of her many patients. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she will be remembered as a devoted mother and caregiver.
Mary Ann was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Scott, and is survived by her three children: her daughter Lisa Nollstadt and her husband Chris Nollstadt of Sturbridge, her son James R. Craven and his wife Theresa Craven of Monson, and her son Ronald P. Craven and his wife Parisa Craven of Holyoke. She is also survived by her brother Ronald Desorcy of South Berwick, ME, as well as her five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Tylunas Funeral Home at 159 Broadway St. Chicopee, MA on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 AM, with a funeral home service beginning at 11:00 AM.
