Mary Elizabeth Winton

Mary E. (Fitzgerald) Winton 1911-2004 Fremont, N.H. Mary Elizabeth (Fitzgerald) Winton 92 died at the Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, N.H. She was the widow of Walter Winton who died in 1983. Mary was born in Springfield, grew up in Chicopee, lived in Springfield from 1937-1964, Southwick from 1964-1997 before moving to New Hampshire. She graduated from Holy Name High School in Chicopee in 1929. Mary was a former member of the Southwick Historical Society, Our Lady of the Lake Church in Southwick and the Rosary Alter Society. She leaves two sons Roger F. Winton of Derry, N.H., David J. Winton of Coventry, CT. and a sister Catherine Fitzgerald of Providence Place in Holyoke. Besides her husband, her brother James Fitzgerald who died in 1970 predeceased her. The family will receive friends in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee Thursday from 3-5 p.m. The Funeral will be Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home, with a Mass at 9:45 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 319 Broadway, Chicopee. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield. The family would like memorial donations made to Alzheimer's Disease Association, P.O.
