Chicopee - Mava B. Steadwell, 77, of Chicopee, passed away on April 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Wentworth, NH on April 5, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (McLeavy) Marcou. Mava lived first in Westfield, MA and later moved to Clermont, FL. She was a beautiful person inside and out, who relished family time, cooking, and animals of all kinds. As a devoted Jehovah's Witness, Mava loved God and talking about him with others. She retired from Walt Disney World but still enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the parks. She leaves her children, Robert Bard, Dianna Bard, Vicki Carroll, Patti Iserman, Philip Bard, Jacquelyn Ziemba, Eileen Lavinio, Sherry Hodge, Jeremy Steadwell and Jesse Steadwell; her siblings, Mary and Frank; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Robin Bard and Sister Louisa. Mava was an inspiration who always kept her eyes on the prize. A Memorial Talk will be on Friday April 8, 2016 at 7 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses located 113 Old Lyman Rd., Chicopee, MA 01020. Family and friends of Mava are invited to a remembrance hour on Saturday April 9, 2016 from 8:30 - 10:15am at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, and Chicopee.
