CHICOPEE- Muriel E. (Finch) Binnall was called by God on February 22, 2011 to enter eternal life. Muriel was born on March 12, 1927, in Milford, MA. Her parents were Gertrude (Dillaber) Finch and Harold Finch. She was predeceased by her only brother Harold Finch. She graduated from Gardner High School and met the love of her life Raymond "Ray" Binnall. Muriel was married to Ray for 56 years. They will now be reunited. They moved to Chicopee in 1951 and owned/operated Friendly TV of which Muriel did the bookkeeping. She later started her own bookkeeping company and named it "Friendly Services" and one of the companies she did bookkeeping for many years was Traveltime Inc. of Springfield. Muriel was very involved in civic organizations. She was a Girl Scout leader for Troop 318 for several years and was known as "Skipper" to all the girls. She was also President of the Belcher School P.T.O. They had three children. Muriel will be missed by her youngest daughter Cindy Binnall of Chicopee, Kathleen Kerkhoff and son-in-law Daniel Kerkhoff of Chicopee, and predeceased by her son Daniel Binnall on March 19, 2009. Muriel loved to travel with Ray and eventually retired in West Palm FL for 13 years. Muriel was Mem to her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. They are Shelly Rae Kerkhoff, Nicole Moriarty with great grandchildren Ryan, Mathew and Emily Rose, Scott Kerkhoff, Eric Kerkhoff, Erika Garrison with great grandchild Caelyn Danielle, and Michael Binnall. Muriel was predeceased by an infant great grandchild Emma Rose Garrison. Muriel loved her family and all their family gatherings. Her many trips to the "cottage" at the Cape, especially "girls week" with her daughters Kathy and Cindy and niece Dody. She was Cindy's number one copilot as they traveled to her favorite destinations and fondly reminisced about each place. Muriel is survived by several nieces and nephews and will be especially missed by Dody Finch of Chicago. A liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. in Mary, Mother of Hope Church, 840 Page Blvd., East Springfield, with Rites of Committal to follow in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
