Norman P. Landry 1918-2003 Chicopee - Norman P. Landry age 84 died Sunday at his home. A lifelong resident of Chicopee he was born May 21, 1918 the son of the late Donat and Armeline (Pinard) Landry. He worked for 26 years at Springfield Armory and later at Smith & Wesson for 18 years as a machinist. A veteran of WWII he served in the U.S. Navy as a motor machinist's mate second class. . He was a member of the American Legion Posts 275 and 337. A past member of the Laurier Club and the Tiger A.C., he also served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Rose (Lynch) Landry of Chicopee. He also leaves his children Michael Landry of Agawam, James Landry of Lake Park, FLA. Lorraine Landry of Agawam and Linda Duprat of Springfield. He also survived by his sisters Lillian Burke of Chicopee and Alice Ouellette of Springfield. Four grandchildren Tracy, Michael, and Katelyn Landry and Jennifer Duprat. As well as one great-granddaughter Hailey Raleigh. Funeral will assemble 9am Thursday at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway. Mass at 10am in St. Patrick's Church, Chicopee, burial will follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery.
