Normand Joseph Belisle

Normand J. Belisle              1926 - 2005 SPRINGFIELD-Normand J. Belisle, 78, of 136 West Canton Circle, East Springfield, died Tuesday at Bay State Medical Center.  Born in Woonsocket, R.I., he was a 1943 graduate of Cathedral High School, and had been a resident here for over 40 years.  Normand was an employee of the former Springfield Foundry for 40 years and was president of its employees AFLCIO union. He later worked for the Springfield Parks department until his retirement in 1997. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, East Springfield, a member of the Indian Orchard Council Knights of Columbus, and a Navy Veteran of WW II.  Normand leaves his wife of 56 years, the former Anita T. Hebert, four daughters, Carol Bassett and her husband Louis of Clinton, Ct, Irene Roy and her husband Donald J. of Chicopee, Annette Carestia and her husband Robert of West Springfield, and Jeanne Green and her husband James of Feeding Hills, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Friday, July 8, 2005 at 8:15 AM form the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, followed by a mass at 9:30 in St. Mary's Church, 840 Page Blvd., Springfield. Burial in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Aldenville.  Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.  Contributions to American Cancer Society 30 Speen St., Framingham, Ma  01701
