Patricia H. Barker

Patricia H. Barker 1950-2013 Chicopee- Patricia H. (Curry) Barker, 62, of Chicopee, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at home. She was born in Holyoke on September 23, 1950 to the late Wilbur and Margaret (Caulfield) Curry. She was a dedicated Human Service worker and was a previous manager of the Polish Home Cafe, in which so many loved to visit her. Patricia was the sweetest, most kind, and generous woman who would take care of anyone and everyone.  She was the best cook and loved entertaining family and friends. Patricia was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed decorating and doing arts and crafts. She was predeceased by her husband, which whom she adored, DuWayne A. Barker, who passed away on October 3, 2012. Patricia leaves her three sons DuWayne S. Barker and his partner Mary Hawk, Sam Barker and his partner Marie Robillard, and Kelley Barker, all of Chicopee; two daughters Tracy Flynn and her husband Timothy of Chicopee, and Katie Barker of Springfield; her sister Penny Perreault and her husband Larry of Chicopee, her aunt Bessie Ewing and her husband Forrest of Maryland; seven grandchildren Megan (mag-pie), Nathen, Jeremiah, DuWayne, Liam, Bella, and Brandon; her extended family in Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her cat Keiser. She was the best mom and loved her children and grandchildren so much. Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 31st from 4-8pm at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. A funeral home service will be held during the calling hours at 5:30pm.
