Patricia R. Sullivan1931-2014Springfield- Patricia "Pat" R. (Edgar) Sullivan, 83, of the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at a local Nursing Home. Born in Bronx, New York on March 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Albina (LaForge) Edgar. Pat graduated from Hartford Public High School in 1949 and from Mercy School of Nursing in 1952.  She worked as an RN for Baystate Medical Center for 42 years, retiring in 1995. Pat loved bus rides to NYC and traveling to Provincetown and Ogunquit, Maine. She was predeceased by her husband of 16 years, Robert Sullivan, in 1968, her daughter, Patrice in 2005 and her partner of 29 years, Raoul E. Boucher, in 2006. Patricia leaves her two sons, Robert Sullivan and his wife Jackie of East Longmeadow, and Dennis Sullivan of Springfield; her brother Walter Fitzpatrick and his wife Mary Jane of Newington, CT; two grandsons, Robert Sullivan and Patrick Coombs; two nieces Margaret and Julia Fitzpatrick; two longtime friends, Patricia Fairbanks and Pauline Dunn; and her cat Nina. A funeral home service will be held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 12pm at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee with calling hours from 10am-12pm preceding the service. Burial will be held in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State St, Springfield. Donations may be made to D'amour Cancer Center, 3400 Main St, Springfield, MA 01107.
