Paul L. Woods 1931 - 2003 Paul L. Woods 71, of Chicopee died Tuesday March 4, in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. Paul was a lifelong member of Teamsters Local 404 of Springfield and worked for various trucking companies in the Springfield area and retired in 1997. Born in Springfield on September 9, 1931, he was the son of the late Edward J. Sr. and Alice (Lynch) Woods. He graduated from Springfield Trade High School and has resided in Chicopee for most of his life. He served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean War attaining the rank of machinists mate 3rd class. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Chicopee, a member of the Amvets Post 12 of Chicopee, the American Legion Post 420 of Springfield, Past Commander of the Charles C. Kennedy American Legion Post 275 of Chicopee, the Korean War Vets Chapter 2000, the Tiger Athletic Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagle Lodge 404, and A.A.R.P. He was predeceased by his second wife Eleanor M. (Seymour) Woods who died in 1989. He is survived by 6 daughters; Carol A. and her husband Tony Gittles of Springfield, Barbara and her husband Stanley Ferris of Barnstable, MA Mary Ellen and her husband Ronald Caloon of Chicopee Patricia M. and her husband William Hurley of Chicopee Jerilyn Meuse of Chicopee Barbara Ann Woods of Springfield 2 Brothers; Jack and his wife Lorraine Woods of Chicopee                   Norbert and his wife Marilyn Woods of Orange County, CA A sister; Patricia Anderson of Burlington, VT 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren 6 nephews and a niece. The funeral will be Saturday morning 9:00 A.M. at Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway, Chicopee followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M in St. Patrick's Church. Burial Monday afternoon 1:00 P.M. in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Agawam. Visiting hours are Friday 4 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Tiger Athletic Club Youth Programs 14 Montgomery Street Chicopee, MA 01020.
