Pauline Brolund

CHICOPEE ~ Pauline Brolund, 97, formerly of Ruskin Street in Chicopee passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, April 28, 2018, at Elaine Center of Hadley. Pauline was born in Montreal, Canada on April 6, 1921. A daughter of Ralph and Flora (Forrest) Bazinet, Pauline moved to the area at the age of 3. Pauline was employed as an inspector at Sickles Co. for many years before her retirement. She was a communicant of the former St. George Church and worshipped at St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee. Pauline was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Richard Brolund in 2010 and her siblings; Paul Bazinet, Jean Anderson, Therese Grimes and Rolande Jones. Pauline leaves a son, Gregory V. Brolund of Centreville, Virginia. Her three grandchildren, Matthew, Beth and Jonathan. Three great grandchildren; Lily, Sam and Nate. Her niece, Nancy Hastings; a grandniece, Denine Hastings-Guardino and a grandnephew, Sean McEachin. There are no calling hours.  The family invites you to join them on Wednesday May 2, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. directly at St. Patrick's Church, 319 Broadway St. to Celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial for Pauline. Rites of committal will follow the mass in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Chicopee. Donations in her memory may be made to Compassus Hospice of Western Ma., 243 King St., Northampton, Ma. 01060. The family has entrusted Tylunas Funeral Home, Chicopee with Pauline's services.
