Peter L. Parenteau

Peter Lawrence Parenteau 1963 - 2011 FLORENCE - Peter L. Parenteau, 48 of Florence entered into eternal rest after a long battle with cancer on Friday, December 23, 2011. Born February 27, 1963 in Southbridge, MA.  Peter was an area contractor for over 15 years and was part-owner of the Tastebuds Restaurant & Catering in Springfield, as well as an underwater diver for SubSea International, CA.  Peter was a "people" person and would put others before himself as well as a loyal and dedicated friend. Peter delighted being with family and his beloved dogs, Mandy and Teddy Ruxpin.  Peter enjoyed scuba diving, water skiing and being near the ocean.  He had a passion for cooking, flying his silk kites, and drawing.  Peter was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents, Raymond J., Mary (Shepard), and Olive (Cloutier) Parenteau, his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Helen (Dickie) Morrill, and his uncle, David L. Morrill.  Peter is survived by his parents, William R. and Kathleen M. (Morrill) Parenteau of Chicopee, MA, his brother Thomas R. and his wife Claudine (Cofield) Parenteau of Norfolk, VA, his sister Pamela A. Parenteau of Easthampton, MA, his niece Paula Parenteau of Norfolk, VA and his loving fiancée Rose Landry of Florence, MA.  The family would like to express their deepest appreciation for the loving care given by Baystate Visiting Nurse Association.  And their gratitude to Owen & Linda Lococo for opening their home during this difficult time.
