Phyllis Diane Dunn

Phyllis D. (Ouimette) Dunn 1932-2012 Southwick- Phyllis D. (Ouimette) Dunn, 79, of Southwick passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Country Estates of Agawam. Born in Springfield on July 21, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Carlisle and Wildred (Churchill) Ouimette. Raised in Springfield, Phyllis graduated from Springfield Technical High School. She met her husband of 36 years, the late Richard M. Dunn Sr., while working at Sears & Roebuck in Springfield. Phyllis and Richard moved to Chicopee where they lived for 15 years. She was a member of East Street Congregational Church in Chicopee and worked as a volunteer at the Big E for the church kitchen. Phyllis also volunteered for the USO at Westover AFB during Desert Storm. She loved bowling and was on the bowling league at Airway Lanes at the Springfield Plaza. Phyllis and Richard also lived in Wilbraham for 18 years where she worked at Soule Road School. After his death in 1986, Phyllis moved to Southwick and was currently on the restoration committee at Congamond Lake in Southwick. Phyllis leaves one son Richard M. Dunn, Jr. of Amherst, three daughters, Susan Terpos and her husband Paul of Southwick, Carleen H. Dunn of Belchertown, and Cheryl K. Marsili and her husband Kim of Feeding Hills, two sisters, Helen Damon of IL and Joan Cole of CT, seven grandchildren Peter, Nicholas, and Jeremy Terpos, Kristopher Dunn, Anthony and Danny Marsili, and Desiree Gribi, and 2 great granddaughters. Services will be held Wednesday, May 9 at 9am with a service in the parlor at 10am at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, with burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8 from 4-7pm.
