Raymond Brian Larock

Raymond B. LaRock 1918-2013 Chicopee- Raymond B. LaRock, 94, of Chicopee, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Easthampton on February 27, 1918, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Woods) LaRock. He was a Sergeant in WWII for the United States Army and worked as a foreman for Savage Arms for 40 years, retiring in 1980. Raymond was a member of the American Legion, Tiger's Club, and the Moose Lodge. He was an avid baseball fan and bowler. Raymond leaves his loving wife of 70 years, Pauline (Podolski); two daughters, Joan McCarthy and her husband John of Chicopee, and Brenda Boehn and her husband Herbert of Norwell, MA; five grandchildren, Colleen, John, Todd, Chad, and Harrison; and six great-grandchildren, Tara, Kevyn, Emma, Hope, Evelyn, and Adain. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, February 13th at 10:30am in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with Rites of Committal to follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Road, both in Chicopee.  Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to Lorraine's Soup Kitchen, 170 Pendexter Avenue, Chicopee, MA 01013.
