Raymond R. Marsh Jr.

NEW LONDON, CT. - Raymond R. Marsh Jr., 61, of New London, CT. and formerly of Chicopee Falls passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2023 at Yale New Haven Medical Center. Ray as family and friends called him, was born in Springfield, a son of the late Raymond R. Marsh Sr. and Stella (Danek) Marsh. He was raised in Chicopee, attending local schools. He furthered his education, graduating from Westfield State University in 1985. Ray served his country proudly in the US Navy. After returning home, Ray worked for many years for the Town of West Springfield at the Public Library. He enjoyed biking and motorcycling the many roads of New England and often toured on the weekends, enjoying the beautiful scenery. Ray was a born vocalist, he enjoyed singing and played the rhythm guitar with a group of friends. His nieces and nephews recently discovered his recordings on Spotify and online, he was thrilled to learn they followed him. He was a devout catholic and was a former member of Christ the King Church. Ray and his mother, Stella visited the Vatican in Rome together. Ray was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Stella. He leaves his siblings; Anthony “Tony” Marsh and his wife Gail of Chicopee and Sharon Fuller and her husband Shane of Granby. His nieces and nephews; Sarah & Stephan Marsh and Cole and Quinn Fuller and great niece and nephews; Lilly and Dylan; and Cameron Page and many extended members of the Marsh and Danek families. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AT TYLUNAS FUNERAL HOME, 159 BROADWAY ST., CHICOPEE ON THURSDAY MORNING, APRIL 13, 2023, FROM 8:15 TO 10:15 A.M. FOLLOWED BY A LITURGY OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL AT 11:00 A.M. AT ST. ROSE DE LIMA CHURCH, GRATTAN ST., ALDENVILLE. THE CATHOLIC RITES OF INTERNMENT WILL FOLLOW THE MASS IN ST. STANISLAUS CEMETERY.
