Real Belanger

Real H. Belanger 1930 - 2004 SOUTH HADLEY - Real H. Belanger, 74, died Monday at the Holyoke Soldiers Home in Holyoke after a courageous battle with lung cancer.  Born in Quebec, Canada on April 20, 1930, Real spent his childhood in Sanford, Maine and has lived in the Springfield/Chicopee area for the past fifty years. He retired from Danaher Corporation, formerly Moore Drop Forge, as supervisor n 1989.  He was a U.S. Air force Veteran and served from 1950-1954.  He was a past chairman and member of the Executive Board of American Legion Post #275 in Chicopee. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brother, Richard Belanger and his wife June of South Hadley, a son Ronald Belanger and his wife Hatti, a daughter Renee Boge and her husband Steve, all of Dubuque, Iowa, and a daughter Allison Piscottano and her husband Gary of Enfield, CT, grandchildren Michael Belanger, Carrie Belanger, Dawn Belanger, Cole Boge, Katrina Boge, Keith Piscottano, Karla Piscottano, and Krystal Piscottano, and one great-grandchild Zed. He was a loving father who will be missed. Funeral Friday at 10 AM at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee.  Burial will follow in the Mass. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery, Agawam.  Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
