Rene P. Pelletier

Springfield - Rene Pelletier, 84, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2006 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Holyoke on February 22, 1922, he was a son of the late Rene and Esther (Brassard) Pelletier. Rene proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean War and he received many medals and decorations. Rene retired after many years of Civil Service Employment. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Anna (Shea) Pelletier who passed away in 1981. He is survived by two sons, Rene Pelletier and his wife Fran of Cheyenne, WY, and Randy Pelletier and his companion, Doreen of Springfield, three daughters, Patricia Yunus and her husband Genus of Ankara, Turkey, Renee Welch of Medway, Maine, and her husband the late Harold, and Anne Marie Popowski and her husband Stanley of Springfield, he also leaves ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 10A.M. at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Road, Chicopee. Arrangements entrusted to Tylunas Funeral Home.
