Richard Francis Davio

Richard F. Davio 1926 - 2005 Chicopee--- Richard F. "Buddy" Davio, 79, of 92 Columba St., died Saturday in a local nursing home.  Born in Northampton, Richard was a former printer for the Philip Hano Co. of Holyoke, and also worked at several area printing companies. Later he worked in the maintenance department for the Chicopee School System, retiring in 1997.  Richard was a Navy Veteran of WW II and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a member of American legion Post # 275.  Richard leaves a son, Richard A. Davio and his wife Marcia of Westfield, and a step daughter, Michelle Bessette of Pa.  He was predeceased by his wife, the former Pauline L Carrigan in 2000, and a daughter Maurene Obema.  Funeral services and burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery will be private.  There are no calling hours.
