Richard J. "Rick" Beaudry

CHICOPEE- Richard "Rick" J. Beaudry, 55, ascended into the journey of everlasting life on Sunday September 10, 2006. Rick was born in Springfield on December 30, 1950 a son of William and Mary (Hogan) Beaudry of Chicopee. Rick was a graduate of Chicopee Comp High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam with the Seabee's as a heavy equipment operator. He was also stationed in New Foundland as a radio station operator. Upon his honorable discharge, Rick furthered his education at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where he received his B.A. Degree and later attended communications school in Boston. Most recently, Rick was serving as the President of the local Home Inspectors Association and was the owner of Northeastern Home Inspections, Accu-Spect Home Inspector Training Institute and a member of NAHI. Rick started his business over ten years ago, and has traveled throughout New England giving presentations about home inspection concerns. Rick was licensed in MA and CT and was certified by the Examination Board of Professional Home Inspectors. He was a member of the former Fife and Drum Corps at St. Anne's Church in Fairview, an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed playing baseball in his youth. Rick was also an area disc jockey, entertaining at Trumpets and area events for several years. In addition to his loving and devoted parents, Rick will be missed dearly by his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Rick is now in the company of his beloved brother, James F. Beaudry who entered into eternal rest on November 11, 1992. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway, Chicopee, MA 01020 followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Anne's Church, 30 College Street in the Fairview Section of Chicopee. The burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State St., Spfld. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
