Robert J. Fontaine

Robert Fontaine 1936-2012 BLANDFORD - Robert J. Fontaine, 75 years old, died peacefully at home Wednesday, March 21st. He is survived by his wife Stephanie (Bozek) Fontaine of 29 years; daughter Victoria; son Robert; daughter Karen; and grandchildren Sarah, Robert, and Rebeccah. He was the son of Arthur Joseph and Helen Mary (Pelletier) Fontaine. He was born on May 7, 1936, and grew up in Ludlow, MA. He served in the Massachusetts National Guard. He was a talented engineer, specializing in electron beam welding, and worked as the executive vice president and general manager at EBTEC in Agawam. He spent his retirement farming 560 acres in Blandford. He was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 11 a.m. in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., with burial to follow in Holy Mother of the Rosary Cemetery, both in Chicopee.
