Robert E. Haley 1921 ~ 2009   Spring Hill, FL- Robert E. Haley, 87, of Spring Hill and a former resident of Burlington Township and Chicopee, passed away on Thursday February 12, 2009 at home. He was born in Chicopee Falls and moved to the Spring Hill, FL area 18 years ago from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He retired after 42 years working for the Federal Civil Service U.S. Air Force as an Aircraft Mechanic than to Air Traffic Manager for 7 years at Anderson Air Force Base, Guam. Robert moved to Spring Hill in 1987. He was a veteran of WWII where he served as Crew Chief on B-24 Bombers. As a pianist, Robert entertained for 20 years while living in Chicopee. Robert was a longtime communicant of St. Frances Cabrini Church where he served as an usher. He was a communicant of St. Paul's Church Parish for 17 years. Robert is survived by his son, Douglas of N. Wildwood, NJ; 2 daughter, Barbara of Frankfurt, KY and Patricia Sauer of Burlington, NJ; 6 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. A funeral home service will be held on Thursday February 19th at 10 a.m. in the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. Robert will be laid to rest beside his wife in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Rd., Chicopee. Visiting hours will be Wednesday February 18th from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
