Obituary

Robert MacGregor, 86, of Ludlow, passed away on April 12, 2026, in East Longmeadow.

Robert was born in Ludlow to the late Robert and Angela (Giroux) MacGregor and was the brother of the late Richard MacGregor. After graduating high school, he attended junior college, earning his associate's degree. He was employed for 11 years at Monarch Life Insurance and was also a 35-year veteran of the Army National Guard.

When Robert was not sitting at his piano, he was extremely involved with not only his friends and family, but also his community. He was a beloved member of the Brigham Lodge of Masons, Royal order of Jesters, Galaxy Club, and the Melha Shriners and Highlanders.

Although predeceased by his parents, and brother Richard, Robert leaves behind generations of loved ones. He leaves his nephews Richard MacGregor Jr, Michael MacGregor, and James MacGregor and their spouses; his great-nephews Robert, Matthew, Daniel, Alexander, and Richard (III) MacGregor, his great-nieces Caitlin and Elizabeth, his cousins Stuart and Alan Maslak, and David Giroux, as well as his great friends Paul and Maryann Barabani and their sons Adam and David.

Visiting hours and viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Tylunas Funeral Home at 159 Broadway Street, Chicopee, MA with a Funeral Home Service beginning at 11:00 AM, and continuing with a Graveside Service with Military Honors at Fairview Cemetery at 12:00 P.M. In Lieu of flowers, Robert's wish was that donations be made in his memory to Shriners Hospital: Donate to Shriners Children's - Give Today.
