Robert G. Ondrick                                                                  1945-2007   Chicopee- Robert "Bob" G. Ondrick, 61, a life long Chicopee resident, passed away on Thursday January 11, 2007 at home. He was born in Chicopee on August 21, 1945 a son of the late Stephen F. Ondrick, Sr. and Nellie E. (Grabon) Ondrick. Bob graduated from Chicopee High School and received his Bachelors of Science from Westfield State College. He served in the U.S. Air National Guard at Barnes Airfield. Bob was a life long teacher at Bellamy School in Chicopee and retired in August 2006. He is survived by his sister, Angela J. Ondrick of Cromwell, CT; two brothers, Stephen F. Ondrick, Jr. of South Weymouth, MA and Edwin P. Ondrick of Bradenton, FL; and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services for Bob will be held on Wednesday January 17th beginning at 8:45 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in The Basilica of St. Stanislaus, 566 Front St., with burial with Rites of Committal to follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery Chapel, 800 Montgomery St., all in Chicopee. Visiting hours are Tuesday January 16th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bob's memory to the Arthritis Foundation Southern New England Chapter, 35 Cold Springs Rd., Rocky Hill, CT 06067 or the American Lung Association of Western Massachusetts, 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA 01105.
