Robert J. Trumbull, 76, known as Bob, formerly of Ondrick Drive passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning in Chicopee. Bob was born in Springfield, the son of the late Robert J and Alice Haber Trumbull. He grew up in Chicopee and was a lifelong resident, graduating from Chicopee High School in 1966. He married Elizabeth C. Collins, and they enjoyed many years of love, happiness and memories until her passing on November 5, 2006. Bob loved his job as a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor at J. Polep Distributors for many years before retiring. He had previously worked for Western Mass. Tobacco for 19 years. Bob was a big Boston sports fan. This led to his collection of baseball cards. His prized possession was a complete 1953 Topps set. He also had a passion for muscle cars, including his own GTO and Cameros, and could be found at various Cruise Nights. Bob will be remembered for his generosity, especially toward his children and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee. Bob leaves his devoted sons, Mark R. Trumbull and his wife Christine of Monson and Michael A. Trumbull of Chicopee. In addition to his sons, Bob also leaves his beloved grandchildren, Therran, Bryce and Thatcher along with several nieces and nephews and his partner, Mary Anne Rock.
