Paul "Roger" Dufault 1920 - 2006 CHICOPEE- P. Roger Dufault, 85, a longtime Chicopee resident was called safely home on Friday April 14, 2006 at Willamansett Nursing Home. Roger was born in Holyoke, July 17, 1920 the son of the late Wilfred and Eva Plante Dufault. He was a 1938 graduate of Holyoke High School. Roger served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War as a radioman 2nd Class. He served aboard the aircraft carrier Essex and Tarrawa. Roger was employed with the Federal Civil Service at Westover AFB in the commissary and base supply office retiring in 1970 after 28 years of service. He married, Elsie R. Polverini in 1950 and the couple recently celebrated 55 years in a loving marriage. He was a communicant at St. George's Church. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, Lawrence Dufault and Robert Dufault both of Chicopee; three cherished daughters, Gloria Chouinard and Nancy Stevens both of Chicopee; Donna Garon of Granby; nine adored grandchildren and one great grandchild. A funeral service will be held Thursday  April 20th at 9 a.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway Chicopee, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. George's Church 7 Belcher St, Chicopee. The burial with military honors will be at The Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations in Roger's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association CT/WMass Office 306 Industrial Park Rd. Suite 105, Middletown CT 06457. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:30 -8 p.m.
