Rose A. Kraus

January 13, 1923 — August 31, 2004

Rose Ann Kraus 1923-2004 Rose Ann (Gnyp) Kraus 81 died in a local nursing home Tuesday August 31, 2004. She was born in Holyoke and was the daughter of Bartholomew and Anastasia (Kuzma) Gnyp. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph F. Kraus who died in 1997. Rose has been a resident of Chicopee since 1948 and worked at the American Bosch for 43 years in the experimental department retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, the American Bosch Retirees Club and the Polish Women's Civic Club. She was also active with the Singing Swinging Seniors and performed in the Valley View Senior Center shows for the past 14 years at the Belllamy School.  Rose leaves three nieces, Patricia Newsome of Chicopee, Christine Biseinere of West Springfield and Elaine LaPointe of Ludlow, her brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Bernice Spezeski of Springfield and many great nieces and nephews. Rose's family would like to give a special thanks to Sister Vincentia Jachimski who was a great comfort to their aunt. The family will receive friends at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee Friday from 4-7 p.m. Friends and family will gather Saturday at 8:00 a.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church, 566 Front St., Chicopee. Burial will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fuller Road, Chicopee.
