Rose M. Lazarz

Rose Lazarz 1925-2008   Chicopee- Rose (Johnson) Lazarz, 82, died Friday January 18, 2008. She was born on August 16, 1925 to Stella and Napolean Johnson and she was a lifelong resident of Chicopee, MA. For several years she worked for the Chicopee School Department as a noon mother. Rose enjoyed attending the Polish picnics with family and friends. In her younger years she loved to dance and she enjoyed bingo throughout her life. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Stanley Lazarz who predeceased her. Rose is survived by her beloved daughter, Maryann Lazarz. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Boron of Chicopee; and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She will be greatly missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 23rd beginning at 9:45 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Basilica, 566 Front St., with Rites of Committal and Burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery St., all in Chicopee. Visiting hours are Tuesday January 22nd from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
