Rose Ann Plourde

Rose Ann Plourde 1902-2004 Chicopee- Rose Ann (LaRose) Plourde, 102, died Sunday June 6, 2004 at Birch Manor Nursing Home in Chicopee. Born in Springfield, on May 5, 1902 the daughter of the late Aime and Delia (Tellier) LaRose.  Rose was a communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Plourde, two brothers, Napoleon and Theodore LaRose, and three sisters, Sylvia Howe, Beatrice Viera and Violet Crafts. She is survived by her children, Joseph and Rhea Plourde of Chicopee, David and Joyce Plourde of East Longmeadow, Therese and Joseph Chevalier of Westfield, seven grandchildren, Rosemarie Buxton, Michele Barker, Christopher Plourde, David Plourde Jr., Phyllis Jurkowski, Jeffrey Plourde, Craig Plourde, ten great-grandchildren and a sister Lillian Garrow of Indian Orchard. Two sisters-in-law, Imelda and Vivian LaRose, also survive Rose. Funeral services will assemble on Thursday June 10th at 9:30 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose de Lima Church 600 Grattan St. with burial to follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, all in Chicopee. Visiting hours are Wednesday June 9th from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
