Ruth Henry

Ruth M. Henry 1928 - 2003 Ruth M. (Chisholm) Henry 75, of Chicopee died Tuesday April 8, in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. Ruth for many years volunteered at Baystate Medical Center and the with cuddler program. She was later hired by the hospital as a unit secretary. Born in Springfield on March 21, 1928 the daughter of the late Colin and Alice E. (Burk) Chisholm she was a lifelong resident and 1947 graduate of Chicopee High School. She was a very active member of First Central Baptist Church  for 62 years. An avid bowler, Ruth bowled Tuesday morning with the Snowbirds and with the Friday evening church league at Airway Lanes in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Herbert D. Henry who died February 6, 1993. She is survived by a son; David P. and his wife Nancy G. Henry of Chicopee A daughter; Colleen R. and her husband Mark L. Lariviere of Lyndonville,VT A brother; Robert J. and his wife Glenna W. Chisholm of Camillus, NY A sister; Dorothy Stevens of Springfield, MA 4 grandchildren; Christopher, Jessica, Emily, and Peter Lariviere The funeral will be Friday morning 11:00 A.M. in First Central Baptist Church, Chicopee. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Chicopee. Visiting hours at Tylunas Funeral Home 159 Broadway Chicopee are Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
