Sandra J. Moran

CHICOPEE - Sandra J. "Sandy" (Olson) Moran,  51, of 47 Randall Street, a longtime resident of Chicopee passed away peacefully on Thursday November 2, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after a brief illness. Sandy was born in Knob Noster, Misouri at Whitman AFB on April 21, 1966 the daughter of the late Leroy and Edith (Goodwin) Olson. She traveled with her family, as an "Air Force Brat" and was raised and educated throughout the United States. She married James F. Moran and they settled in Chicopee to begin their lives and family.  Sandy was devoted to her family, especially to her late husband, James F. Moran who passed away on April 29, 2006. She enjoyed family gatherings, holidays and get togethers. Sandy worked as a Clerk in the retail business for many years.  She is survived by her loving & cherished children; Michael J. Moran of Springfield and Amanda L. Moran of Chicopee with whom she made her home. She leaves a beloved grandchild, Jason Moran.  She also leaves her siblings; Carol Nash of Crestview, FL., Donald Olson of Athol and her brother in law, George Korona of Jaffrey, N.H. and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Susan Korona and a brother, Gary Olson. The family invites you to join them on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. for the Committal Services directly at Fairview Cemetery, Armory Drive, Chicopee. (please arrive promptly by 10:50 a.m. for services). The Tylunas Funeral Home of Chicopee has been entrusted with arrangements.
