Sheila J. Bourbeau

Sheila J. Bourbeau 1938-2014 SPRINGFIELD- Sheila J. (Menard) Bourbeau, 76, a longtime Chicopee resident and formerly of New Hampshire, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 7, 2014 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Ware, MA on January 24, 1938 a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Helen S. (Hackney) Menard. Sheila graduated from Chicopee High School in 1955 and received her nursing degree in 1958 from Springfield Hospital School of Nursing. She was formerly employed at Springfield Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church, Chicopee. Sheila was predeceased by her husband, Richard Bourbeau; and her best friend, Ann Garrigan. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Meuse of Plaistow, NH, Donna Bliss and her husband Daniel of Worcester, MA, and Robin Capprini and her husband Robert of Haverhill, MA; a sister, Carol J. Barker and her husband Richard of Springfield; five grandchildren, Laurie and Carrie Bliss, Amanda Souliotis, Matthew Capprini, and Nicole Meuse; an aunt, Agnes M. Walsh of Agawam; and a nephew, Kevin R. Barker and his wife Mary of Agawam. Sheila also leaves her dog Wendy, in the care of her sister. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 11th beginning at 10 a.m. from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, 319 Broadway St., both in Chicopee. Burial will be private. Sheila's family will receive relatives and friends at the visitation on Thursday prior to the services from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
