Stanley Bettgenhauser1943-2015Chicopee-Stanley Bettgenhauser, 72, a lifelong resident of Chicopee, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield on June 9, 1943 he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Kus) Bettgenhauser. Stanley was a 1961 graduate of Chicopee High School and worked for over 40 years as a meat cutter retiring from Waldbaum's Food Mart. He was a Union Steward for UFCW Local 371 and enjoyed traveling. Stanley loved many things, but most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren. He leaves his daughter, Dee-Ann Cayer and her significant other Andy Lajoie of Holyoke; his son, Todd Bettgenhauser and his wife Kathy of Chicopee; his sister and his best friend, Alice Bobrowski of Chicopee; five grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew Cayer, and Joshua, Aaron, and Faith Bettgenhauser; and his great-granddaughter, Audrina Cayer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 9am at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Stanislaus Church, 566 Front St, Chicopee. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery St, Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 4-7.
