Steven M. Kapinos

Steven M. Kapinos 1963 ~ 2007   AGAWAM- Stephen Max Kapinos, 44, entered into eternal rest on Monday May 21, 2007 at his home. Stephen is the beloved son of Simone Parent of Agawam and Ronald Kapinos and his wife Alicja of Holyoke. Stephen was born in Holyoke and educated in Chicopee Schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served honorably as a member of the 2d Maintenance Battalion. He received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and a Letter of Appreciation for his superior performance. Most recently, Steven was an accomplished small engine mechanic for Allen Lawnmower, and retired due to illness in 2006. He began working as a mechanic in the military and later worked at his fathers shop, the former K & B in Chicopee. Stephen enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing with friends and family. In addition to his parents, he leaves his three sisters; Christine Hadley of South Hadley, Bonnie Trombley of Chicopee and Jennifer Day of Agawam. He is also survived by seven loving nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday May 25th at 9:15 AM in Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee, MA 01020. The burial with military honor will be in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 PM.
