Suzanne J. Grasakis

Suzanne J. Grasakis 1949-2006   Springfield- Suzanne Jean (Noonan) Grasakis, 57, entered into eternal rest on Christmas Eve, Sunday December 24, 2006 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Springfield on August 21, 1949 a daughter of Bernadette (Gregoire) Noonan of Springfield and the late Bernard Noonan. Suzanne graduated from the High School of Commerce, and was the former co-owner of Athens Restaurant on Main St. Springfield, with her husband George. She had taken great pride in taking care of the restaurant. Suzanne enjoyed cooking and baking, but she received the most enjoyment when she was spending time with her grandson Eric. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, George J. Grasakis; three loving and devoted children, Melissa Grasakis and her fiancée George Lalumiere of Chicopee, Christina Grasakis of Chicopee, and Anthony G. Grasakis of Ludlow; a cherished grandson, Eric A. Kupchunos; two brothers, Paul Noonan and his wife Lynn of Springfield and Robert Noonan of Springfield and his former wife Jean Noonan of Westfield; a sister, Donna Hortie and her husband Mark of Chicopee; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday December 27th at 8 p.m. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. Burial will be private in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Springfield.
