Theresa Marie Morin 1929-2015 Chicopee- Our beloved Theresa M. (Sarrasin) Morin, 86, of Chicopee passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center. Theresa was called by many names by all who loved her. "Mom", "Ma", to her loving sons. "Terry", to her loving husband "Charlie" and to her many friends. And especially, her beloved grandchildren knew her as "Mémé". And of Course, as "Aunt Theresa", to her many nieces and nephews. Born in Springfield in 1929 she was the daughter of the late Peter and Angelina (LaBrecque) Sarrasin. Theresa worked for the City of Chicopee Health Department for many years and was a communicant of the former St. George's Church in Chicopee. She enjoyed travel and exercise, especially walking. When Theresa arrived in Heaven she had a joyful reunion with her loving husband Edward "Charlie" Morin (who preceded her, on August 12th of this year), her son Dennis Morin, as well as her brothers and other cherished family and friends waiting to welcome her there. Theresa leaves her four sons, David C. Morin and his wife Virginia of Irving, TX, Richard E. Morin and his wife Jeanne of Chicopee, Ronald P. Morin of Hawaii, and Daniel Morin and his wife Rene of White Salmon, WA; five grandchildren, Tanya Compagnone, Matthew Szadek, Thomas, Brittany, and Annabelle Morin; and one great-grandson, Aiden Morin. Theresa, Terry, Mom, Ma, Mémé, Aunt, no matter the name by which we have known you, all of us you are leaving behind will miss you tremendously. Mostly, we are grateful for the time we were fortunate enough to have with you here, and for the many fond memories that time provided. We hope and pray that you now find peace as well as relief from the pains and trials of your final years. We love you. Rites of Committal will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St, Agawam at a date and time to be determined. There are no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Theresa's memory to a charity of one's choice. Because Sister Frances White was so kind to visit and pray with Theresa many times, please make special consideration for donation to St. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee.
