Theresa M. Walat

CHICOPEE-Theresa Marie Walat, 79, of Chicopee passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center after a long illness. Theresa was born on October 2, 1942 to George and Cecilia (Brunelle) Bressette. She was a lifelong resident of Chicopee and graduated from Chicopee High School. Theresa spent much of her life caring for her family, animals and her beautiful flowers and gardens at her home. She enjoyed cooking and many crafting projects. She was a communicant of the former St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee and a faithful servant of God. She was predeceased by her parents, George & Cecilia. Her siblings; Joan Sands and Rita Tobin and George Bressette Jr as well as her beloved daughter, Ann who passed away in January. She leaves behind her husband; Eugene Walat. Her children; Mary Walat and Thomas Walat and his wife Aimee as well as her cherished grandchildren; Christopher, Daniel, Madison, MacKenzie, Delaney and her great granddaughter, Danielle. Theresa will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all that knew her. A private graveside service with the Catholic Rites of Committal will be held at Ste. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen St., Aldenville with Fr. William Tourigny, officiant. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to Ste. Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan St., Chicopee, Ma. 01020
