Thomas Moriarty

Thomas F. Moriarty 1921-2003 W. Springfield - Thomas F. Moriarty- age 82 died peacefully Tuesday June 3, 2003 at Mount Saint Vincent in Holyoke. Born in Chicopee May 29, 1921 the son of the late Michael J. of Castlegregory County Kerry Ireland and Catherine (Russell) Moriarty of Ventry County Kerry Ireland. He retired with over thirty years of service from Smith & Wesson as a draftsmen engineer.  He graduated from Cathedral High School in the Class of 1938. He was a member of the Holyoke Elks Lodge #902 and the Holyoke Country Club. His wife Helen (Murphy) Moriarty predeceased him on April 6, 1976. He was the loving father of his three children Kevin, Sheila and Jeannie Moriarty. He leaves his sisters Kathleen McKeon of W. Springfield and Lillian Pyne of East Haven, CT. A sister Mary Hogan of North Haven, CT predeceased Thomas as well. In addition he leaves a cherished friend of 25 years Mary Pratt of Belchertown as well as many loved nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-7pm at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway Chicopee. Funeral Services will assemble 9:30AM Saturday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM at St. Patrick?s Church, Chicopee. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
