Vanda Lynn Garcia

Vanda Lynn (Bledsoe) Garcia 1955-2003 Chicopee, Vanda L. (Bledsoe) Garcia, 48 died Monday December 29th at Mercy Hospital after a long illness.  She was born in Springfield and lived in the surrounding area all her life, recently moving to Chicopee. Vanda graduated from Classical High School, Springfield Technical Community College and Our Lady of the Elms College. She retired from Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Company as a Group Claims Adjuster. She served as Chaplain for the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #148 Ladies Auxiliary of Springfield. She leaves her parents Donald and Vanda (Norman) Bledsoe, Sr. of Springfield, a son Damian L. Peroza and a daughter Desiree Short both of Holyoke. She also leaves two brothers Donald L. Bledsoe, Jr. of Springfield, Jarrell L. Bledsoe of Chicopee and a sister Karen L. Dearing of Springfield. The funeral service will be at Saturday January 3rd at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 pm.
