Verna Therese Mcdonald Carduff

July 16, 1925 — March 5, 2019

CHICOPEE- Verna T. (Morin) McDonald Carduff, 93, of Chicopee was called Safely Home on Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family.  She was born and raised in Holyoke, MA, beloved daughter of the late Ernest & Margaret Morin.  Active in her catholic faith, she was a communicant of the former St. Patrick's Church and was a member of the Moose Lodge in Chicopee for over 40 years.  She was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with love and affection.  She enjoyed camping, playing cards, bingo, drawing and being with friends, family and her dog Pierre.  She was sadly predeceased by her two husbands; Howard McDonald and John Carduff and her beloved son, Kevin J. McDonald, a sister, Lorraine Morin, brother, Richard Morin and son-in-law Edward Gagnon. Verna leaves her four loving children; Kimberly L. Gower and her husband Carl, Kathy M. Gagnon, Keith N. McDonald and Kellie Pinette and her husband Mike all of Chicopee. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Kevin J. McDonald Jr., Scott and Jessecah Gower, Shelley and Bryan Porth and Michael E. Pinette along with six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St. Chicopee from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will begin Saturday from the Tylunas Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. with a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose de Lima Church, Grattan St., Aldenville. Burial will follow in Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee.
