Vivian A. Powers

Vivian A. (Denette) Powers 1924-2012 Chicopee- Vivian A. (Denette) Powers, 87, passed away on July 1, 2012 at Wingate at West Springfield. Born in Holyoke on July 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Madora (Gareau) Denette. Vivian was a customer services representative for Lego Systems retiring in 1987. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Powers, of 27 years, in 1976. Vivian leaves one daughter, Diane Powers of Chicopee; one son, Kevin Powers and his wife Jill of NY; one brother, Gerard Denette and his wife Claire of FL; 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Thomas, and Benjamin; and 3 great grandchildren, Kaydence, Landon, and Addyson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5th beginning at 11:30am from the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 1pm in St. Anne Church, 30 College St., with Rites of Committal and burial to follow in St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, 49 Olsen St., all in Chicopee. Vivian's family will receive relatives and friends at the gathering on Wednesday, July 4th (this afternoon) from 2-5pm at the funeral home.
