Walter L. Uk

Walter L. Mruk 1955 - 2007   Northampton - Walter L. Mruk, 52, formerly of Chicopee, passed away July 11, 2007.  He was born January 30, 1955 in Springfield, the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Bowen) Mruk.  He was a 1973 graduate of Chicopee High School.  Walter also served as selectman of Ward 5 in Chicopee during the mid 1980's.  He is survived by his loving companion, Nancy of Ludlow; sons, Bryan and Joseph Mruk both of Chicopee; brothers, Joseph of Belchertown, MA and John of Chicopee.  He also leaves behind his Aunt, Sister Donald Mruk of Hamburg, NY; Uncle, Father Walter Mruk of Chicopee, nephews, John, Michael, and Christopher; and nieces, Anne Marie, Jennie, Samantha, and Sarah.  A funeral service for Walter will be held on Monday, July 16, 2007 beginning at 9:00 AM from Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway, Chicopee with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. George Church, 7 Belcher St., Chicopee.  Private family interment will be held at a later date.  Calling hours will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, Sunday, July 15th at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Walter's name to the American Liver Foundation, New England Chapter, 88 Winchester St., Newton, MA 02461.
