Wayne G. Barrett, Jr.

Wayne G. Barrett, Jr. 1953-2006 Chicopee - Wayne G. "Wayno" Barrett, Jr., 53 passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2006 surrounded by his family. Born in Springfield on May 15, 1953, he was a son of the late Wayne G. Barrett, Sr, who passed away in October, 1994 and Mary (Luppi) Barrett of Chicopee. Wayne was a graduate of the Chicopee Comprehensive High School Class of 1972 and he also received a degree in Criminal Justice from Holyoke Community College. Wayne was employed as a foreman for Hamilton Standard and he retired after many years of service. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee and he was a member of the Tigers Athletic Association for many years. Besides his father, Wayne was predeceased by his wife Kim (Lewis) Barrett, who passed away in October, 1999. Besides his mother, Wayne is survived by two devoted daughters, Heather L. Barrett of Springfield, and Amy L. Barrett of Chicopee, one cherished grandson, Tyler Dunham of Chicopee, his beloved girlfriend Margie Bergeron of Chicopee, two loving brothers, Shawn Barrett and Robert Barrett both of Chicopee, and one caring sister, Catherine Ruckman of Newnan, Georgia. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass Saturday at 9A.M. at St. Patrick's Church, 319 Broadway, Chicopee. Burial will be private. Wayne's calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7P.M. at the Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway in Chicopee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Wayne's memory to the Barrett Family c/o Heather Barrett 151 Sumner Avenue,  Apt. # 7, Springfield, MA 01108.
