Obituary

Wayne Taylor of Chicopee, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Wayne was born in Holyoke on September 10, 1965, to his parents Robert Taylor and Suzanne (Houle) Keating. He grew up in Chicopee and graduated from Chicopee High in 1983. Wayne served overseas in the United States Navy on the USs midway CV41 out of Yokosuka Naval Base Yokosuka Japan. In 1991 he went on a blind date and was married just two years later at St. Rose de Lima to his beloved, Donna (Collins) Taylor.

Wayne was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and New Orleans Saints. He valued friendships made starting from elementary school through his time in the US Navy keeping in touch regularly. Wayne loved everything about Fall, especially Halloween. Trick-or-treating in Ferry Lane was an event to look forward to. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Wayne adored his grandchildren and watching them grow meant everything to him.

Wayne is predeceased by his father, Robert Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Taylor, his three daughters, Angela DeCaro and her husband Frankie DeCaro of Agawam, Shannon Taylor and her significant other Kevin Laflamme of Chicopee, and Catherine Rivera of Springfield, his grandchildren Giovanna Grace DeCaro, Gianni Laflamme, Michael Beusee, Nathan Beusee, Caleb Beusee, Patrick Beusee, and Collin Beusee, his great granddaughters Yazmin (Yazzi) Beusee and Amaya Beusee, his mother Suzanne Keating of Chicopee, his uncle John Begley, brother Danny Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.
