William Joseph Lacourse

William J. Lacourse1914-2014CHICOPEE- William "Bill" J. Lacourse, 99, passed away at Willimansett Nursing Center West on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.  Bill was born to the late John and Emilia Lacourse in Holyoke on November 24, 1914.  He married Pearl Tardy in 1941 and they spent 69 loving years together until her death in 2010. Bill proudly served our country in the United States Army for three years during World War II.  He was a member of the American Legion, the former Post 353 in Chicopee for many years. Bill is predeceased by his daughter Ann Louise Lacourse in 2000.  He is survived by his caregivers; a niece, Judith Tremblay and her husband Robert;  great niece Melissa Jackson; great nephew Daniel Tremblay; and also many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  Services for Bill will be Monday, April 14 at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee, calling hours will be from 9-10 am, followed by a funeral home service at 10 am, and burial at Forestdale Cemetery, 304 Cabot St., Holyoke.  Memorial donations may be made in Bill's memory to Brightside Institution, 2112 Riverdale Rd., West Springfield, MA 01089.Tylunas Funeral Home(413) 592-1048
