Yvette Irene (Turmel) Boisselle 1925-2005 Chicopee-Yvette Irene (Turmel) Boisselle, 79, beloved wife of Oliver E. Boisselle, ended her journey of life on Monday ,January 24th,2005 at Baystate Medical Center, her loving family at her side. Yvette was born on August 17, 1925, in Chicopee, a daughter of the late Liniaire and Anna (Giard) Turmel and was a life long resident. She was a parishioner of St. George Church, Chicopee, a member of the church's St. Anne's Ladies Guild, and for many years was a well known and talented soloist in the church's choir. Yvette was an excellent cook and was well known for her gift of knitting, especially hats. She and her husband were married at St. George's Church, fifty nine years ago. Besides her beloved husband, Yvette leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son Paul Boisselle and his wife Julie of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, a dear sister Lorraine Donahue and her husband David of the Fairview section of Chicopee, a dear grandson Brian Simoneau of Brookline, and many cousins of Canada, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her dear brother Lucien Turmel. Relatives and friends are asked to join the family on Friday at 9:00 A.M. at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway Chicopee, for a Legacy Candle Ceremony, followed by a funeral procession which will proceed to St. George's Church, 7 Belcher St., Chicopee, for a Liturgy of Christian Burial,celebrated, at 10:00 A.M. Her burial will follow in St. Rose De Lima Cemetery, 600 Grattan Street, in the Aldenville, section of Chicopee. Calling hours, at the funeral home will take place on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM.
