CHICOPEE-Janet R. Daigle, 82, of 4 Charles Street in Chicopee Falls passed peacefully away on Monday July 23, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield after a brief illness. Janet or ‘Nana-Banana” as her family called her, was born on July 29, 1935 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, a daughter to Conrad and Irene M. (Delaronde) Ethier. She was raised and educated in Chicopee and attended local schools. She moved to Delaware for a number of years before returning to Chicopee and eventually settling here. Janet worked as an employment Specialist for Sunshine Village for many years. She was a member of St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Chicopee. Janet loved being with her family and the kickoff of Fall Football was a favorite time of hers, the family gathering for the games, food and fun. She enjoyed baseball and was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan. Janet leaves her loving daughter: Jo-Ann Kasulinous and her husband Tom of Chicopee. Her two cherished grandchildren; Ashley and her husband Eric and April and five cherished great grandchildren; Serenity, Lauren, Landon, Kolby and JJ. Her dear siblings; David Ethier of Chicopee and Christine Lariviere and her husband William of Chicopee and many brother in laws, sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and members of the extended Ethier family. Janet was predeceased by several siblings; Jean Ethier, Conrad Ethier Jr., Paul Ethier, Bernice Lussier, Russell Ethier, James Ethier and Donald Ethier. There are no calling hours. Per Janet’s wishes she will be cremated and interred with her family at Fairview Cemetery in Chicopee. The family will have a Celebration of her Life in September at the beginning of her favorite season, Football! The family has entrusted Janet’s care and services with Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee, Mass.
