SPRINGFIELD-Janet M. (Pike) Seymour, 83, of Drexel St. in Springfield passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Janet was born in Brattleboro, Vermont on December 28, 1934, a daughter of Ralph G. & Alice (Grover) Pike. She was raised and educated in Brattleboro, attending local schools. She moved to Springfield when she was 17, and had resided here ever since. Janet worked as a Home Health Aide for a number of years before retiring. She loved spending time with her family, doing crossword puzzles and especially enjoyed watching the Television food networks. She was predeceased by her husband, William Seymour and a daughter, Janet Pelletier. Janet leaves her children; Helen Lane and her husband Michael Lane of Springfield, Linda Richard and her husband Michael Richard of Florida, William Seymour Jr. and his wife Renee Seymour of Chicopee Ma. and Dianne Lockwood and her husband Douglas Lockwood of Florida. Her ten grandchildren; Michael Lane, Kimberly Lusk, Shannon Duval, Dawn Boulanger, William Seymour III, Danielle Santiago, Kristy & Justin Lockwood, Alyssa & Kaleigh Gordon-Ross, 27 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren She also leaves two sisters; Evelyn Hoard and Margaret Carey both of Vermont and several nieces and nephews. A Prayer service will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Tylunas Funeral Home, 159 Broadway St., Chicopee at 10:30 A.M. at followed by burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fuller Rd., Chicopee. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home.
